I have fourteen years of experience in secondary education, gained in the UK (London, Birmingham, Manchester, and Ipswich) and abroad (South Africa and the Seychelles) since obtaining my Modern Languages teaching qualification (PGCE in July 2007 and QTS in July 2008). After eighteen years abroad (in British international schools in English-speaking countries), I recently returned to Paris where I teach English as a foreign language. In addition to my teaching qualification (PGCE), I hold a Master of Arts (MA) in Languages and Linguistics from the University of Manchester, UK. I have taught from kindergarten through high school, as well as in vocational high schools, CAP programs, language clubs at Manchester Academy in England for adults, and with the Alliance Française for all levels. In short, for the past 18 years I have taught English to French speakers and French to English speakers. As a native French speaker with near-native fluency in English, I can also say that I bring a unique dimension to language teaching. As a teacher/tutor/coordinator, my goal is to equip students with the necessary tools to meet the challenges of the 21st century and to develop them into ambassadors capable of thinking for themselves and thriving in a constantly evolving globalized society. As an English-speaking nanny and language tutor for young children, I combine childcare with a fun and immersive English learning experience. With children aged 3 to 16, my objective is simple: to make English natural, accessible, and fun while ensuring the smooth running of the day. I speak exclusively English so that the children in my care can naturally learn vocabulary and pronunciation without pressure. I am patient, energetic, and very organized. Parents can rely on me to provide a caring, structured, and stimulating environment where their children feel safe and make real progress in English. As an English-speaking nanny, my responsibilities include: I always start by picking up the children from school and taking them to their activities if needed. I take care of meals, routines, outdoor activities, creative play, and safety. I prepare simple and healthy meals for the children (cooking larger quantities for subsequent meals whenever possible). I support parents by providing verbal feedback, progress reports, activity planning, and establishing a stable and positive routine. I create a safe and warm space where children feel confident expressing themselves. I transform learning into a fun experience through games, songs, and hands-on activities.
