1. General overview
Welcome to Colocationsparis.com. By accessing the site and using its services, you fully accept these Terms of Use. If you do not accept these terms, you are invited not to use the platform.
Colocationsparis.com is a platform connecting private individuals who wish to offer or look for shared accommodation, a room, a bed space, or free housing in exchange for services.
2. Definitions
Platform / Site: refers to the Colocationsparis.com website and all of its features.
User: any person browsing the site, whether registered or not.
Advertiser: a user publishing a housing listing or a housing request.
Services: all the features offered by the platform, including the publication of listings, search tools, the internal messaging system and any paid visibility services.
Publisher: refers to the legal operator of the Colocationsparis.com website, as identified in section 20.
3. Nature of the service
Colocationsparis.com acts exclusively as a technical intermediation platform.
The platform:
- is not a party to any rental agreement;
- does not take part in private exchanges;
- does not collect any rent;
- represents neither the landlord nor the tenant.
Agreements concluded between users are exclusively their own responsibility.
4. How the platform works
4.1 Search and browsing
Users may freely browse the listings and use the search tools according to the available criteria.
4.2 Publishing listings
To publish a listing, the user must:
- create an account;
- provide accurate information;
- hold the necessary rights over the accommodation concerned.
Certain visibility options may be offered as paid services.
4.3 Moderation of listings
Listings are reviewed before publication, in order to limit fraudulent content or content that does not comply with these terms. This review is carried out solely on the basis of the information provided by the Advertiser; it constitutes neither a guarantee of the accuracy, legality or availability of the accommodation, nor a validation of the Advertiser's identity or reliability.
5. Paid services and featured listings
Users may subscribe to options providing greater visibility for their listings, in particular:
- featured listings;
- temporary highlighting.
These services do not affect the content of the listings or the decisions of other users.
When paid services are offered, their price, duration and conditions are indicated before any subscription. In accordance with Article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code, a user who requests the immediate performance of a visibility service waives their right of withdrawal once the service has been fully performed.
6. User-generated content — ownership and distribution licence
The Advertiser remains the owner of the content they publish (texts, photographs, descriptions).
By publishing a listing on Colocationsparis.com, the Advertiser grants the Publisher a non-exclusive, free and worldwide licence to host, reproduce and display their listing, including its text and photos, for the duration of the listing's publication, for the following purposes:
- displaying the listing on the platform, in French and in English;
- promoting the listing on the site's communication channels — in particular its Facebook page and group, its YouTube channel and its other social media — as well as on third-party housing-related groups, pages or platforms, for the sole purpose of increasing the listing's visibility.
The Advertiser's personal contact details (email, phone) are never published on these channels: interested people are redirected to the listing on the site.
The Advertiser may request the removal of these promotional shares at any time by writing to contact@colocationsparis.com; removal is carried out within 48 hours. Deleting the listing on the site also removes its promotional shares.
7. User responsibilities
Each user undertakes to:
- comply with French law;
- publish only lawful listings;
- refrain from posting misleading, fraudulent or false content;
- comply with the rules applicable to flatsharing, subletting and rentals between private individuals;
- publish only content (texts, photos) for which they hold the rights.
The user remains solely responsible for the content they publish.
8. Prohibited content
It is strictly forbidden to publish:
- illegal or fraudulent content;
- offensive, hateful or discriminatory content;
- fake listings;
- listings without genuine rights over the accommodation.
The platform reserves the right to remove any non-compliant content, without notice.
9. Property listings
Users publishing property listings declare that they:
- own the property or hold a valid authorisation;
- or hold the rights necessary for publication.
Real estate professionals must hold the legally required authorisations.
10. Minors
Any use of the site by a minor must be carried out under the responsibility of their legal representatives.
In the case of housing in exchange for services involving a minor, written parental authorisation may be required.
11. Intellectual property of the platform
The structure of the site, its editorial texts, graphics, logos, trademarks and technical elements are the exclusive property of the Publisher or are subject to licences in its favour. Any reproduction without written authorisation is prohibited.
This provision does not apply to content published by users, which is governed by section 6.
12. Reporting and complaints
Any user may report content that infringes their rights.

13. Platform liability
Colocationsparis.com cannot be held liable for:
- exchanges between users;
- agreements concluded between private individuals;
- payments made outside the platform;
- rental disputes.
The platform guarantees neither the solvency, nor the reliability, nor the trustworthiness of users. The review described in section 4.3 shall not render the platform liable for the accuracy, legality or compliance of the published listings. Use of the platform is at the users' sole responsibility.
14. Indemnification
The user undertakes to indemnify Colocationsparis.com against any claim, damage or proceedings resulting from non-compliant use of the site.
15. Suspension and termination
Colocationsparis.com reserves the right to:
- suspend an account;
- remove a listing;
- terminate access to the platform;
in the event of a breach of these terms.
16. Changes to the terms
These Terms of Use may be amended at any time. The version in force is the one published on the site on the date of consultation. The date of the last update appears at the top of this document.
17. Non-discrimination and preferences
Preferences indicated in listings (age, gender, lifestyle, etc.) are optional and provided for information purposes only. They do not constitute mandatory selection criteria and must under no circumstances lead to discriminatory practices contrary to applicable law.
Users are solely responsible for the content of their listings and undertake to comply with applicable laws, in particular regarding non-discrimination. Colocationsparis.com reserves the right to amend or remove any listing that does not comply with these principles.
18. Housing in exchange for services
In the context of listings offering housing in exchange for services, users acknowledge that the platform does not take part in the definition, performance or supervision of the agreed services.
It is up to the users to ensure that the proposed conditions comply with applicable law, in particular labour law and the protection of individuals. Colocationsparis.com declines all liability as to the nature or performance of these exchanges.
19. Fraud prevention
Users are invited to exercise caution in their exchanges. Colocationsparis.com recommends never making any payment without having visited the accommodation and verified the identity of the other party.
The platform cannot be held liable in the event of fraud or scams between users.

20.4 Personal data
Personal data is processed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the French Data Protection Act. The processing arrangements, the purposes — including the promotion of listings on the site's social media — and users' rights are detailed in the Privacy Policy available on the site.
20.5 Cookies
The site may use cookies to improve the user experience, under the conditions described in the Privacy Policy.
20.6 Applicable law
These terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, and failing an amicable resolution, the French courts shall have jurisdiction. Consumers may also have free recourse to a consumer mediator.
